New paddle tail swim bait

Been a very exciting past couple of weeks for me and bass magnets baits. Between trying to make a ton of baits to get out to my one pro staff member Eugene Chong and and a potential second member, and trying to get in enough time on the computer to design a new bait, there hasn't been a lot of time for much else Also having to work at my real job, makes it hard to find enough ours in the day.

However, I did get the design completed on our paddle tail swim bait, and I am very excited to get this bait molded and up on the website. With the craze of the Alabama rig still red hot, and the popularity of rigging the alabama rig with swim baits I figured I could come up with something unique and different to drive some traffic to the site. Well folks, here it is....

First shot and testing will be Monday morning, and if all goes well and testin looks good, this bait will be available on the retail site by Tuesday.

I am going to need some help with a name, leave a comment making his worm and if I like it and use it I will send you a pack of these, so let's here hear what you got.

Sponsorship announcement

I am proud and honored to announce that Bass magnet baits and Eugene Chong have entered into an sponsorship agreement to promote our custom baits and molds. Eugene is a proven tournament angler and an awesome guy all around. He is a social marketing wiz and I am very happy to have him on the team. Look for big things from both Bass magnet baits and Eugene in 2012. Read the official announcement here http://t.co/sCYr46y I am very excited about all the new things that have been happening with the brand. I am an thankful to all the kind people that have found what I am doing interesting and unique.

I am currently working on a very unique and different looking swim bait. I plan on having the mold complete by next week and making them available on the website by Tuesday 1/17.2012.

I failed to get some video yesterday while fishing in the delta, so I decided to see how the ambush craw looked on a jig in the water.....AWESOME!! the action in the water is perfect, and when it is sitting still on the bottom, it looks just like a craw, ready to be eaten by a big largemouth.

small steps.....

A lot of things developing for bass magnet baits over the past few weeks. I have been in contact with a few people in the bait making and bass fishing industry, and have been getting some great feedback on my baits.

I have been receiving request to build molds for creatures and craws and worms, and even some swim baits jig heads for that new Alabama rig everyone is crazy about.

I did find an awesome deal on the soft plastic I use to pour these baits. I purchased 1 gallon of plastic for the same price that I had purchased 1 quart in the past. What an awesome deal!!!'

I made some baits tonight at the request of a potentional customer. Below is the Ambush Craw in the color smoke with peacock tinsel flake. The picture is a little dark, but I'm person and in water the bait really pops. I am very pleased with the results.

concept4

Finished up new concept today, tried to develop a streamlined, heavy duty worm that would penetrate the toolies and the weeds, but still have some nice action on the fall, when flipping for bass in the delta. Or maybe in the winter months when the temps. fall and a very slow presentation is needed.

The worm will look slightly different when molded,  the contours on the body and tail section cannot been seen in the model, because they will be created during the machining process. I hope to have this mold completed by Sunday, and some actual worms in bags by Monday.

I think I am going to have a little contest here, cause I need some help naming this worm. If you have an idea for the name of the worm, submit it here, @bassmagnetbaits on twitter or Facebook. I will choose the one I like the best and if it is yours, a sample pack of every worm I make will be sent to you. Thanks and good luck.

This sample was done is a slightly darker than normal watermelon with small and large black flake.
